Ooops been a while since my last entry just been way bizzy. Heres my 7 page spread in Metro summer issue out on stands today. Had a great day shooting out north of Auckland thanks to goatislanddive.co.nz , fish on film and feature writer Frances Morton who actually took the PADI open water course.

Keep and eye out for this cover out now!

Culture outside a yougurt pot?

T
his weekend I was asked to make portraits of NZ Trio as the costumes were designed by Helen Talbot. Consisting of Violinist Justine Cormack, cellist Ashley Brown and pianist Sarah Watkins who first joined forces in 2002 and were Ensemble in Residence at The University of Auckland from 2004-2009.

Didn't have as long as I would of liked and made these images rather quickly in the town hall concert chamber after the performance which was mind gaping btw..a must experience, Anais was super charged after!!

Guy Fawkes 09

Remember, remember the Fifth of November,
The Gunpowder Treason and Plot,
I know of no reason
Why Gunpowder Treason
Should ever be forgot.
Guy Fawkes, Guy Fawkes, t'was his intent
To blow up King and Parli'ment.
Three-score barrels of powder below
To prove old England's overthrow;
By God's providence he was catch'd
With a dark lantern and burning match.
Holloa boys, holloa boys, let the bells ring.
Holloa boys, holloa boys, God save the King!

Halloweeeen 09

Classic year Anais and Logan (CuzEEEE) blazed a trail around Herne Bay in pursuit of happiness. Here's a couple during a before, a hell cat and gansta b;ling freek respectively;-P

North Island BMX champs

BMX (BICYCLE MOTO X), riders from as young as 4 to riders of 64 all battle it out on either 20'' or 24'' rim single speed BMX bikes around a very challenging dirt course. This weekend was a test between NZl and rivals Australia in 3 classes : Mighty 11's senior Boys and Senior Girls. This year despite a great effort NZl took the back seat to the ever evolving Australians. It was an amazing weekend in Cambridge however and we look forward to the next event see http://www.xbr.com.au/news.html

Naked News Flash

Ha ha just found these gems in the dusty corners of a hard drive. In 08 Alt TV launched 'The Naked News" featuring Lisa Lewis (of international rugby streaker fame). Anyways my brief was to make her look softer and more 'newsy'. The show lasted 6 months...This however was my first Billboard in NZ. Some might say a coup, I like orange but my favorite colour is blue.

St Matthews Auckland City

St Matthews church in Auckland City played host recently to an awards dinner I shot for. Events Direct handled the event (same company that made Ed Hardy NZ S/S and launch a success).

St Matthews is an inspiring building any time but to see it like this was certainly something special..love my work:-)

East Coast NZ, OPOTIKI

On a recent trip out of Auckland down to the East Coast I was lucky enough to make these images of a dramatic sky coupled with a vivid landscape. The horses were a bonus. The man you see is Otto he'd just fished out a decent catch of whitebait from the river behind him. Opotiki locals sure have a way with words and we chatted for a while during the picture making and was eager to share the secrets of whitebaiting.

KP154

Whoa!!! I had a great time making these update shots for
Kurt Pickard earlier this week, for more check
http://www.kurtpickard154.com/gallery.html.

It was a sweet Auckland spring day and I choose the right equipment for the job. With a rider like Kurt it really comes down to how many shots you want and your how you want to see it. He sure gave me a few thrills by almost landing on my face a few runs so this was a risk it situation.

This session has really made me realise that I could really go into this type of work and actually its what I enjoy. Big Ups KP154.
